Naxcer Armor Systems has developed numerous armor technologies to solve a large array of ballistic threat profiles. We have technologies to mitigate threats from basic hand guns to very large caliber high velocity military threats. These applications are very focused on lightweight designs for use in aerospace applications (Helicopter and Fixed Wing), Marine Environments and Land Applications (Vehicle and Military Transport).
Our focus is specifically on the lightest weight armor solution for the ballistic threat, as a result keeping the performance of the platform as high as possible.
Naxcer Composites Group has developed several novel manufacturing processes using aramid fibers(Kevlar®), glass products (E-glass and S-Glass) and metal technologies. Additionally, the company has tested many of the known ceramic based ballistic products in combination with its proprietary based solutions achieving a very high performance ballistic solution.
Finally, the company has conducted research on steel and alumina strike face armor designs with high temperature aramid spall liners to be used in vehicle armor applications. The unique use of materials and manufacturing processes have allowed Naxcer Composites Group to offer hybridized ballistic solutions resulting in lower than industry area weights for comparable ballistic performance.
Our manufacturing processes significantly reduce the cost of our ballistic products while achieving the same or better performance than Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE or sometimes shortened to UHMW), also known as high-modulus polyethylene (HMPE) or high-performance polyethylene (HPPE), and commercially known as Dyneema® or Spectra®.
